Excitement was in the air as Chimps Inc. prepared for the birthday party of young Bella. As the cars started to arrive the chimps became very excited to see all the new faces. Topo was watching over both humans and chimps to make sure everyone was on their best behavior. With excitement on their faces the group of six kids an thier parents walked up the Chimps. Inc front lawn. They had huge smiles and the kids wore shirts with Herbie's face on them.
Emma was the first to come and check out the group from the tunnel leading to the outdoor enclosure. All of the staff at Chimps Inc. were pleasantly surprised when Bella shouted " Hey there is Emma!" As the chimps were introduced the kids knew all the names, stories, likes and dislikes of each chimp.
The highlight of the day was lunchtime for the chimps. The menu prepared by Bella consisted of veggies, Jell-o, nuts and ramen noodles was a hit with the chimps. One of the younger boys took home Jackson memorabilia that consisted of a V8 can and an empty Jell-o container from Jacksons lunch.
As the group arrived at the enclosure with Herbie and Kimie the kids were overjoyed to see their favorite chimp.Herbie was very excited to see all his fans and seemed to know that they were there to see him in particular. As the day came to a close, Bella opened her presents on the front lawn. Bella's face lit up when she received a great apes book and a plush animal ape along with many other ape presents. As the kids left waving good by to all the chimps, the Chimps inc. staff was reminded once again at how important it is to help these animal so that future generations can see these amazing animals in the wild.
